Getcontact Web: One of The Ways to Use Getcontact

You can do a caller ID lookup quickly and easily from your computer with Getcontact Web, ensuring that you know the identity of whomever you’re communicating with.

How many times have you seen a missed call from someone who isn’t in your contacts and wondered “Who called me from this number?” Other times you may hear your phone ring, see an unknown number, and then pick it up just in case it’s something important, only to hear an automated message from a telemarketer. How often do you wish you could look up a phone number and see who it is? Or simply filter out junk calls and spam?

This is exactly what the Getcontact app is for. The developers at Getcontact have devised a system to help users identify unknown callers and block junk calls.

What does Getcontact do?

Getcontact is, at its foundations, a spam-blocker and caller ID app. It filters out unwanted calls to your phone and can tell you who is associated with a particular number.

Getcontact is constantly analyzing thousands of calls in order to detect potential fraud, junk callers, and spam. The Getcontact app is able to do this through user engagement. Users verify numbers and flag spam callers, crowd-sourcing caller identification. Getcontact is perfect for anyone who values privacy and security on their mobile devices.

How to use Getcontact Web

To check caller IDs through Getcontact online through your computer, first download the Getcontact app to your phone. On the Getcontact app, go to “Other” or “Settings” and click “Getcontact Web.” Then go to the Getcontact Web login on your computer and point your phone camera at the screen so it can read the QR code on the computer. Getcontact Web will then log you in.

Getcontact Web is a fast and easy way to check phone numbers within the Getcontact database, often even easier than using your phone if you need to search more than one number.

Phone number search

One of Getcontact’s most helpful features is a caller ID lookup, and you can use this feature just as easily from your computer through Getcontact Web as from the Getcontact app on your phone. You can either pull up the number on your call history, or plug the number into Getcontact’s search feature. When you run a search on a number, you’ll be able to see if the number has been reported as a spam or fraudulent caller.

In addition to looking up a phone number from the Getcontact app on your phone, you can also use the Getcontact Bot on Telegram. Simply pull up Telegram and search for Getcontact. @Getcontact_Officialbot will come up and in the conversation you can enter a phone number to search.

 How to block a number

Getcontact offers numerous other features through the Getcontact app, including spam and call blocking. Blocking a specific number from calling your phone can be done through the Getcontact app. Pull up the number, either from call history, contacts or by searching for it, and then click block. This number will no longer be able to call you.

If you don’t have a specific number you’d like to block but you’d like to block spam calls in general, this is also made easy with the Getcontact app. On an Android device, spam blocking gets blocked as soon as you download the Getcontact app, as long as you give the app permission to do so. On an iOS device, open up the Getcontact app and click “Enable Protection” on the bottom menu. From now on Getcontact will filter out all calls its algorithm has deemed “spam.”

Getcontact for Professionals

Using Getcontact is free for spam blocking and limited number search but there are higher tiers of Getcontact for those who need more number search and verification. With a Getcontact Premium account, you’ll see no ads, you can look at who has viewed your tags, you’ll get three months of Profile and Search statistics and you can add a premium badge to your profile. There are also payment tiers which allow you to do larger quantities of monthly searches. Getcontact Premium can be ideal for people who conduct business over the phone and need to verify the identities of large numbers of customers or clients.

Whatever your privacy and security needs, Getcontact is here to help.
